The Small Business Assistance Office provides timely, accurate and comprehensive information -- as well as referral to other service providers -- at no charge to the user. Initial, basic transactional questions (e.g., "what do I need and where do I get it?"), as well as tax, regulatory and business structure questions are best addressed to one of the Office's business advisors at (651) 259-7476 or (800) 310-8323.
To answer questions on business planning, marketing, financing and other aspects of ongoing operations, the Office operates the network of twenty Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs) in Minnesota. These offer one-on-one business management counseling to existing and prospective small business owners and managers as well as training on business topics, loan packaging, and access to business information.
